One Week Post Election Check-In
It is one week post-election. Remember last Tuesday at this time? Seems like a year ago, already. The polls weren’t closed but we were getting some early data. The commentators kept saying it was early and it would be hours or days. And, here we are. One week into finding resilience.
I never like loosing an election. I live in deep red, ag America. I’m use to local elections swinging the way I didn’t vote. I choose to live here but I also want it balanced with some blue, please. I’m one of those pro-democracy, independent 65+ year old women! Fortunately, my state is pretty securely blue now – it was red, then swing. But, like the US, the 80 or 90% of the population that lives in the cities is more progressive.

Now that we are a week out, how is everyone doing? Is the shock wearing off? Are you sleeping better? What steps towards resilience have you taken in the past 7 days?
One Small Step: Resilience Tuff On Bluesky Social Media
The step that I took last night was to get a Bluesky Social account for this website – my handle is Resilience Tuff. I plan to share a variety of items on Bluesky. From politics to physics to personal stories – the highlight is resilience!

It was a small step, but it sure felt good!

Until we settle in to our new reality, I’ll probably share more on post-election resilience – stories and strategies. I do plan to continue with the posts looking for non-political examples of resilience in the world around us. Please consider following me on Bluesky and, also, subscribe here to help us reach more through the algorithm.
What is Bluesky Social?
What is Bluesky? It is a platform that was created by the original creator of Twitter – before X and Elon. It feels a lot like the original Twitter. I think it’s a great match for our content! Sign up at https://bsky.app/ or search Bluesky in your app store.
What Resilience Topics Are Important To You?
I would love feedback from readers – here or on Bluesky – as to what resilience topics they would like to see discussed on Resilient Stuff! Please leave a comment! Let’s grow a community of resilience together!
